Firefox - Great browser but......

Firefox is my browser of choice, perhaps because Adblock Plus does such a great job of removing adverts and I would not want to be without GreaseMonkey. But that aside, it really does a great job on the Mac. But, and isn't there always a but, I can't tell which is the active tab because all the tabs appear grey to me. Having moaned about this for long enough, I thought I really would have to sort it out so .......

Well as you might imagine Frefox is capable of adjusting the way it looks and luckily others have postd information on how to style tabs. Based on this I added the following to ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/[???.default]/chrome/userCrome.css which I had to create from the example files.

/*
* Colourise the tabs so we can see which is selected
*/
tab[selected="true"] {
background-color: #B0FFFF !important; /* light blue */
color: #000 !important; /* black */
}
tab:hover {
background-color: #FFFBA6 !important; /* light yellow */
color: #000 !important; /* black */
}
tab[selected="true"]:hover {
background-color: #B0FFFF !important; /* light blue */
color: #000 !important; /* black */
}

So now I can actually see the active tab (blue background) whilst the current mouse pointer selection is yellow. The result is illustrated below.
